Membrane switches are basically momentary contact switches that are extensively utilized instead of mechanical switch assemblies. It may also save much of the PCB area and are quite simple to operate.  Some of the unique features of membrane switch design are: • Static layer- As it is evident from the name; this layer doesn’t bend while using the switch and is utilized o carry single or both poles.  • Membrane layer- A thin layer is necessary that bends while using the switch and is utilized to short both the poles together.  • Low application of voltage- You can’t utilize a high voltage source while utilizing a membrane switch design.  • Direct contact- The poles should be in direct contact with each other.  • Momentary action- When released, the poles segregate as the flexing membrane returns to the previous position. These days, human-machine interface design technology is implemented in membrane keypads. Keypads generally have separate parts but memb
